Overview

When Kawamata Farms built a new agricultural building on the sunny side of Waimea, they looked at an off-grid solar system as a cost effective way of powering it. By leveraging grants and Federal and Hawaii State tax credits, the state-of-the-art off-grid solar system supplied by RES was more cost effective than hooking up to the utility grid. Now the facility is powered by 100% clean solar energy, and Kawamata Farms doesn’t have to worry about monthly electric bills.
